You can enroll a child if you are a parent or legal guardian, the family’s social worker or the child counselor in school. Click here to enroll a child.

A study conducted abroad on the Big Brothers Big Sisters youth organization found that kids matched with a Big Brother or Big Sister:

• Are more confident
• Are more likely to steer clear of drugs and alcohol
• Do better in school 
• Get along better with their family and friends
• Feel better about themselves

Because of the many children on our waiting list, there is no guaranteed or set time before a child is matched up with a Big Brother or Sister. Matches are made based on professional considerations and not on a first-come first-serve basis. While some children may be matched up within weeks, others unfortunately may have to wait more than a year.

We serve children from isolated single-parent homes, ages 5-18. Exceptions can be made based on a professional’s recommendation.
