The Mayor of Jerusalem’s Award for Excellence in Volunteerism for 2008-2009.
The award will be presented to BBBS at a festive ceremony on October 18, 2009.
This prestigious award recognizes the contributions of individuals and organizations whose activities enhance the quality of life for the citizens of Jerusalem.
Bestowed upon a very small group of organizations and individuals, the award is testimony to the importance
and necessity of long term mentoring for children and youth from single parent families in Jerusalem and throughout the country.
With over 30,000 volunteers, Jerusalem leads the rest of the country with the largest number of volunteers.
It is therefore all the more exciting to know that the dedication and commitment of our volunteers enabled us to be chosen as a shining example of excellence in volunteerism in this city of volunteers.
