Anchor Program

Ogen Project supports boys and girls in elementary schools, who experience divorce/separation in the family unit.

The Ogen project was established within the framework of the international organization LEAD, and currently operates under the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Israel (NGO). As part of the project, young adults who have personal experience with separation or divorce within their own families, are trained by professionals to mentor younger boys and girls, who are going through similar exepriences.

Goals

The mentor is a neutral figure who is not seen as part of the family conflict, who has a positive influence, who distracts the child from the concerns of the home to his developmental tasks, all through enjoyable activities of play, creation and recreation, with the aim of being a consistent and stable figure during the turbulent period in the child's life.
